WOW – WOW and WOW!!! What a great time we had creating some stunning images, once again using the saxophone theme. This time it was ” Great Sax” featuring a FANTASTIC model along with a terrific saxophone player.
We are so grateful that model Catherine Campbell responded to our Casting Call on the well known and popular Model Mayhem website. There’s an ironic story behind this. Read on to learn more….
We had the concept and we had the saxophone player. Now all we needed was the model. So, when in need of a model where do you go? Model Mayhem of course. So we created a casting call – an excerpt of which follows
We’re working on a photo session/project tittled “Great Sax” and we’re looking for a female model aged 25 to 45. The images we will be creating are centered around our model who is in evening wear/party dress just chilling listening to a saxophone player doing his magic playing (hence the Great Sax theme).. We already have the saxophone player and would just need to coordinate schedules with everyone involved. You can see a couple of shots of him on our profile page at Mayhrm #3527017.
We targeted models in the Richmond Virginia and surrounding areas. Ironically, out of 111 views of our casting call for women who want to showcase their modeling abilities, we had less than 10 responses (and thank you to the models who did respond but were not chosen. We appreciated your response).
So, was the concept not clearly explained by us or just not something anyone is interested in trying or are wanna be models just not serious about their profession? Maybe the timing was bad even though the call is open for over a month. We just don’t know the reason for the small number of respondents.
Either way – we feel very fortunate that model Catherine Campbell (Mayhem # 3706455), who came from about 2 hours away to do the shoot, did respond. She is a great model and we really enjoyed working with her very much.
And of course, none of this would have been possible 
without the help of Stephan P. whom we really appreciate and thank for his participation.
We had fun, she had fun and Stephan had fun. We are so glad that we chose Catherine and look forward to working with her again in the future. We’re just sorry she had a long drive ahead of her and couldn’t stay for some pizza. BUT – no worries. Ron being the nice guy that he is, ate a slice for her 😉
